Machinery manufacturing started in Týn nad Vltavou in 1969. Originally only fabrication of oil pumps, was later extended with production of thermo regulators and special measuring and regulation equipment for aircraft industry.  In 1976 the production was moved into newly built premises. During the 1980s the building works were finished and the assembly hall along with the bathroom and the paint shop were put into operation.

In 1993 a private company Mikrona was set up and bought the company from the State Property Fund and continued the tradition of precise machinery manufacturing. It made some new investments and enlarged and improved the quality of its products.

Year 1995 saw transformation and restructuralization of the company Mikrona s.r.o.. The trading company Minesa s.r.o. and its related manufacturing company Mikrona holding s.r.o. were set up.

In 1998 new production was started associated with some significant investments into CNC machine tools, in the area of lathe work and in milling. That enabled the company to manage even the most demanding technologies and introduce new production programmes that have been further developed.

At the end of 2005 the company was certified and it meets the requirements of the norms ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004. There is a new CDA facility for the design and development departments. The main activities of the company are in the area of production and distribution of compressors for diesel engines, fuel injection units, hydraulic systems, electromechanical equipment, armament production and thermo regulators for refrigerating industry. The company Minesa offers a wide range of services in the area of galvanostegy.
